Kłodzko - tourist attractions, monuments and history of the city. What to see and visit?

Kłodzko is the main city of the Kłodzko region located in the Lower Silesia province. Its urban layout is a complete and original reproduction of a medieval town, which implies a strict adaptation of buildings to the terrain and the defensive role of the entire town. Klodzko, due to its numerous attractions, is a city often chosen by tourists and not only from Poland, but also, for example, from Germany and the Czech Republic. 

From our bus stop, which is located at the PKS Station, at Jedności Square we will suggest a short walk towards the first attraction, which is the stone Gothic bridge over the miller river. The historic crossing, which was once the main transportation route in Klodzko, connects Sand Island and the old town part of Klodzko. After crossing the bridge, you can take a bold step towards the famous and popular Klodzko Fortress. Any visitor will learn about its rich history starting as early as the 10th century. The tour is guided by a guide, who will tell you about the old realities of the life of soldiers in the Prussian army, show you around the casemates or demonstrate, and maybe even fire from one of the cannons standing there. 

Another attraction is Minieuroland, where you can admire more than 40 mock-ups of the most famous buildings from Lower Silesia. The complex was very quickly included in the list of the top 10 tourist attractions of the Klodzko Valley and offers a very wide range of attractions not only for older tourists, but also for their younger children. In Klodzko every visitor will also find many historic churches or monuments, but the city itself is also an ideal starting point towards many other attractions of the region such as the Wieliczka Waterfall in Międzygórze, Szczeliniec Wielki located in the Table Mountain range, Błędne Skały often referred to as the Rock City or the famous gold mine in Złoty Stok.
