Modena is a yet undiscovered tourist Italian town located between Parma and Bologna. Modena is also the city of Pavarotti, who was born here in 1935 , and also died here in 2007 . It is worth visiting for its Italian climate and lack of tourists although there is no shortage of tourist attractions here. The focal point of the city is the Modena Cathedral which along with the tower and the square is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Another attraction is Piazza Giuseppe Mazzini where the Sicilian produce market takes place. Its culinary rarity is ham aged in a thick casing of pressed dark grapes (known as marc). Modena is also a mecca for automotive fans because it is in this area that such brands as : Ferrari (in nearby Maranello), Maserati (in Modena itself), and Lamborghini have their headquarters.
