Prudnik located in the Opole Province just near the Czech border. It has interesting terrain as it occupies several hills, i.e. Zbylut, Klasztorne Wzgórze or Okopowa. An ideal place for lovers of mountain walks.
It is interesting to note that before our era, there was trade contact with Rome here, hence the Roman coins that have been found by archaeologists. The old town, attracts with buildings dating back to the 13th century, making it the oldest building in Prudnik. Timely traces of the first town founded here is the remaining Wok Tower, the oldest in Silesia.
There is no shortage of monuments in Prudnik! Starting from numerous churches, the Jewish cemetery, through the town hall to the defensive walls. Also worth noting are several Renaissance houses that belonged to the townsfolk.
We recommend taking a look at the love well from the turn of the 17th and 13th centuries, right by the Lower Tower. A legend related to Wiewiórom and Wawrzynek is placed on a board right next to it, along with instructions on what to do to have good luck in love.
