Radom - a city located on the Mleczna River, in Mazowieckie Province. Through historical connections and culture, the city is assigned to the Małopolska province. It is here that the famous "Radom AIR Show", a biennial event held at the local airport, is organized. There are also other festivals organized here, such as the Radom Jazz Festival. It takes place on the banks of the Mleczna River in October.
Interestingly, the city's name derives from the legend "O srebrnopiórym eagle i radomskim grodzie".
What to see while in Radom? For hiking enthusiasts, a good idea would be to go to the hills near the river, the site of a former castle. Grodzisko "Piotrówka" is part of the Radom Heritage Trail. Archaeological research has been carried out on its territory. Another object of the Route is the Royal Castle from the 14th century with preserved cellars and two stories of the so-called "Great House". An interesting way to spend an afternoon in Radom is to take a walk along the trail of the old walls, by exploring its preserved parts on Wałowa Street.
