Shchuchin, a city located in Belarus, in the Grodno region, in the western part of the country. It is one of the smaller cities of Belarus, located on the Shchuchinka River, which is a tributary of the Nemunas. The city has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages, when it was associated with the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
Shchuchin in the past was a city of local importance, with diverse cultural influences that could be seen in its architecture and traditions. Today, Szczuczyn is a place that has retained some of its historic character, although greater changes have occurred as a result of modern urbanization processes.
