Slavyansk- a city in eastern Ukraine, in the Donetsk district. It is a city of about 100,000 inhabitants, it is a typical industrial district. The main industries are salt mining, also chemical, machinery and energy industries.
Slavyansk has a difficult and complex geopolitical history, we could hear more about the city in 2014 when regular fighting took place here. The city has declined quite a bit in recent years, mining and industry is no longer what it was a few or a dozen years ago. Many residents here worked in large industrial districts that closed in the 1990s. The mood among the residents for the future is rather pessimistic, after all, the city does not seem to be a strong industrial district again as it once was. In addition, the population is divided along national lines.
Buses from Poland leave for Slavyansk from most major cities. From some cities, connections are available even two per day. A bus trip to Slavyansk after leaving Poland takes just over 20 hours. The bus stop in Slavyansk is located at the bus station 47 Centralna St. You can check bus connections at website, where you can choose and buy a ticket for the connection you are interested in.
