Uddevalla is a town in southwestern Sweden that was granted a city charter in 1498 and is also the administrative seat of Uddevalla Municipality. Despite the fact that it is not one of Sweden's largest cities it is rich in attractions, which are enjoyed by local residents and tourists. Our buses stop at Torp Terminalen, which is located next to a large shopping center. The city has a well developed bus network so after a short shopping trip you can take a regular bus line that takes you in less than half an hour to the city center near Bohuslans museum, which is the second most visited museum in Sweden. Admission is free and the museum is open to visitors 361 days a year with many themed exhibitions and a contemporary art gallery. After visiting the museum we recommend a walk along the very popular Strandpromenaden tourist trail. This coastal promenade is 9 kilometers long and starts in the historic area of Skalbankarna. It runs through the town and ends at the Gustafsberg nature reserve, which historically was the most popular spa in Sweden and today you will find beautiful greenery and architectural elements from the 18th century. For nature lovers Uddevalla has another nature reserve to offer - Skalbankarna. Here you can see sea shells as old as
10 thousand years, and during the summer for tourists is also available a small museum, which in addition to numerous exhibits has a lot of information and interesting facts about this reserve.
