Wadowice - a city located in the Malopolska province in southern Poland in the first place almost every Pole associates with our Polish Pope - Jan Paul II. It is here that you can visit the Holy Father's Family Home. There is a papal exhibition open to the public. Thanks to a multimedia show, you can learn about the entire life path of St. John Paul II. The centerpiece of the museum is the Wojtyls' apartment, where the Pope was born and lived for 18 years. Inside are original exhibits related to the Wojtylow family.
Staying with the theme of museum objects, we recommend going to the Polish-American museum "Hell's Angel". The exposition is dedicated in particular to the Polish and American aviators who gave their lives for Poland during World War II. However, we can also see there more exhibits related to John Paul II and many others.
Near to Wadowice is also Stryszow, where there is a beautiful Manor House, which is a Branch of the Wawel Royal Castle. Erected at the end of the 16th century, it is a beautiful specimen of the residential construction characteristic of that area. The exhibition inside presents a typical arrangement of a rural landed residence from the 19th century. The entire exhibition comes from the collections of the Wawel Royal Castle. The decor reflects the character of a moderately wealthy manor house.
