.The Würzburger Residenz is one of the most impressive Baroque palaces in Europe and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its construction, commissioned by Prince-Bishop Johann Philipp Franz von Schönborn, was carried out between 1720 and 1744, and was fully completed by 1780. The main architects were Johann Balthasar Neumann, Max Dietzenhofer and Robert de Cotte. The palace is now one of the city's most important monuments. Inside you can admire the richly decorated halls, including Tiepolo's famous fresco in the staircase. The palace is surrounded by the beautiful Hofgarten gardens.
.The Old Bridge over the Main is one of the most distinctive and historically significant landmarks in Wurzburg. The bridge is about 180 meters long and consists of eight stone arches that support the bridge structure. It is made of stone, which gives it solidity and durability. Its architecture is Gothic in style, with later Renaissance elements added during reconstruction. The bridge is decorated with Baroque statues of saints, and offers great views of the River Main and the city. It is an ideal place to take a walk and enjoy the Wurzburg skyline.

The central square in Würzburg, serving as the heart of the city both historically and socially. It is a place where locals and tourists meet, shop, attend events and admire the surrounding monuments. The Marktplatz is home to, among others, the Gothic St. Mary's Chapel, built in the 14th century. Its distinctive red facade with white ornamentation and soaring tower make it one of the most recognizable buildings in Würzburg. On the east side of the square, on the other hand, is the Old City Hall, a historic building with a distinctive clock tower. The town hall once served as the city's administrative function, and is now one of the main landmarks on the square.
The city is known for its beer and the beer produced from it, although in Wűrzburg, contrary to appearances, beer is not the number 1 liquor, but wine is. This is due to the fact that practically in the very center of the city, on the west side of the river, you will find the magnificent 13th-century fortress Marienberg along with huge terraced vineyards, the fruits of which are processed into excellent wines eagerly bought by local residents. In Wűrzburg all the main attractions are clustered around the old town, which you can reach by walking in less than 15 minutes straight from our bus stop at HBF, Bahnhofpl, where Sindbad buses stop.We recommend starting your tour of the old town with the red temple Marienkapelle and Haus zum Falken- the Hawk House with its beautiful rococo facade. Another highlight is the St. Kilian Cathedral, which is the fourth largest cathedral in Germany. Due to the excellent acoustics of the interior, organ concerts are often held there, attracting crowds of people interested in the event. Also worth a visit is the magnificent Baroque bishop's palace, which is often compared to Versailles due to its richly decorated interiors and beautiful garden, and was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. We recommend planning a tourist trip to Wűrzburg for the period from May to September. During this period, the aforementioned vineyards are in bloom, and the city hosts many events and festivals dedicated to wine, which can be tasted without fear of a fine outdoors as well.
We invite you to board our buses!
