CHERNIHIV

Chernihiv (ukr. Чернігів) is one of the oldest and historically most important cities in Ukraine, located on the Desna River, about 150 km north of Kyiv. It is the capital of the Chernihiv region and has a population of about 286,000.

The first mention of Chernihiv dates back to 907 and was recorded in the "Novel of bygone years," one of the oldest chronicles of Kyiv Rus. In the Middle Ages, the city was the capital of the Duchy of Chernihiv and the second most important center after Kyiv.

HALMSTAD

Halmstad is a coastal city in southwestern Sweden and the administrative center of the picturesque county of Halland. It lies at the mouth of the Nissan River into the Baltic Sea on the Kattegat Strait. Halmstad has a population of about 70,000.

The city is considered the Swedish capital of golf. It has 11 different golf courses in and around its area, including the only one accessible to people with disabilities. From Halmstad comes Per Gessle, the male part of the band Roxette.
