The Second World War practically leveled Heilbronn to the ground so that the city lost many valuable monuments and required extensive reconstruction. Nonetheless, some buildings were able to be restored to their former glory. Heilbronn is a quiet, small town in the southwestern part of Germany in Baden-Württemberg, located near Stuttgart. The Neckar River flows through it, and it is home to more than 120,000 people. The city is picturesquely located on the Pełcznica River in a basin surrounded by the Walbrzych Mountains and is famous as one of the greenest cities in Poland - many parks and forests can be found here, including two landscape parks with nature reserves.
