.Racibórz is a picturesquely located city in the Silesian province, not far from Opole. It is inhabited by more than 50,000 people. The city has a very long and interesting history - it was one of the historical capitals of Upper Silesia, where the princes of Opole and Racibórz resided.
.When visiting Raciborz, don't miss seeing the Piast Castle, with its vast courtyard and beautiful Gothic castle chapel comparable to Paris' Sainte-Chapelle. To this day, fragments of medieval defensive walls and a former prison tower dating back to the 16th century have been preserved in the city. Worth seeing is the oldest temple in Racibórz - the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located near the market square and still remembering the 13th century. The area around the market square, meanwhile, is an ideal place to relax and eat something good in the city of Racibórz. Restaurants and cafes are located mainly on Dluga Street and its extension, Adam Mickiewicz Street.
.Racibórz has great transportation links. Less than 30 kilometers from it is the Czech city of Ostrava. Racibórz is located in the center of Upper Silesia, at a similar distance from Katowice and Opole, giving it fairly good access from many places.
