Nantes is a city of more than 300,000 people in the western part of France with a history dating back more than 2,000 years. It is home to a major river port on the Loire River. The city is also known as one of the greenest urban centers in France, and is also famous for its art, both that displayed in museums and in public spaces. Worth a visit here is the Museum of Art, with collections of paintings starting from the 13th century, as well as the Museum of Natural History, whose main attraction is an 18-meter whale skeleton and a vivarium with counted species of reptiles. Also awaiting tourists is the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany with exhibitions on the history of the city and the Brittany region. It is worth knowing that Jules Verne was born in Nantes. In his honor, an unusual machine park was built here, where you can, among other things, ride a huge, walking mechanical elephant.
Nantes has ring roads and is close to important highways leading to Paris and Bordeaux, among others. Nantes airport is 8 kilometers from the city center. However, we will not reach it by direct flights from Poland. A better option to reach the former capital of Brittany is a flight to Paris combined with a TGV train trip or a direct bus ride from Poland to Nantes. Sindbad buses stop at the SNCF Sud train station, near the Mercure hotel. From there, the city's most important sights can be reached by covering a distance of just over a kilometer.
.There are buses and high-speed streetcars that run around the city, with routes along the most important sights and attractions. There's also the Navibus, a boat that sails across the Loire to the fishing village of Trentemoult, as well as numerous bicycle stations for rent (Bicloo) and more than 470 kilometers of paths for cyclists.
The city is also home to a number of bicycle stations for rent (Bicloo) and more than 470 kilometers of paths for cyclists.
An important point on the transport map of the city are Sindbad coaches, connecting Wejherowo with other places on the Old Continent. Our vehicles stop at the MZK bus stop by the Kashuby Shopping Center. This is the optimal location for a long-distance coach stop - as it saves time for wandering around the center of Wejherowo (such comfort is not available to other carriers using the PKS Wejherowo stop), and at the same time allows passengers to do their shopping before departure. The list of cities that Sindbad coaches reach is impressive - at the moment it includes more than 240 items! Suffice it to say that our buses from Wejherowo take passengers (usually tourists and economic migrants) to Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, and even Spain and Ukraine. Transfer by modern vehicle provides the highest level of comfort and safety, making even the farthest journey not long. We should add that bus transfers on international routes are attractively priced compared to airline tickets, and the network of connections is much more varied.
Wheeled transport is facilitated by the region's good road network. The DK6 runs through Wejherowo, running from Gdansk (via Szczecin) to Berlin. Those traveling to Wejherowo also have access to the Tri-City bypass, from which it is easy to get to the A1 highway and use it to reach southern Poland.
