Novgorod Volynskyi- (ukr. Новоград-Волинський) is a city located in western Ukraine, in Zhytomyr Oblast, in historic Volyn. It is one of the oldest cities in Ukraine and has a rich history dating back to the Middle Ages. Volyn Novgorod is known for its historical heritage, monuments and culture.
Volyn Novgorod is full of historical monuments, including a 14th century fortress and St. Nicholas Church, which is one of the oldest religious buildings in the region. The city is well connected to the rest of Germany and neighboring countries. It has an airport less than 13 kilometers east of its center - in the town of Holzwickede. You can fly there from several of Poland's largest cities. A good, inexpensive option for getting to this city is also coach transport. Buses to Dortmund run from many Polish and European cities.
Moving around this city is easy and fast, as it has an extensive rail and bus network. In addition to buses and streetcars, you can also find a light metro currently running on eight lines.
