Paczków is a charming town in the Opole Voivodeship, often referred to as "Poland's Carcassonne" due to its well-preserved 14th century fortification walls. It is one of the few towns in Poland where the medieval fortifications have been preserved almost in their entirety.
The main attraction is the Market Square with the Town Hall, which impresses with its beautiful architecture and atmospheric surroundings. Also worth a visit is the Museum of Gas Industry, where you can see unique exhibits related to the history of gas industry in Poland. Also notable among the monuments is the Church of St. John the Evangelist, which formerly served as a defense.
Paczków is located on Lake Otmuchowskie and close to Lake Nysa, which offer great conditions for water recreation, sailing and fishing. The Nysa Klodzka River also flows through the town, adding to the beauty of the landscape.
Paczkow hosts a variety of cultural events, including Paczkow Days, during which one can listen to concerts, see knight shows and take part in local festivals. It is an ideal place for lovers of history, nature and peaceful recreation.
Ancona the capital and main city of Italy's Marche region lies on the Adriatic coast. Due to its possession of one of Italy's most important ports, the city is of great economic importance. In addition, it is distinguished by its long history and a large number of valuable monuments. Worth seeing here is the beautiful Romanesque-Byzantine Cathedral of St. Cyriacus located on Monte Guasco hill, as well as the city's squares, especially Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza del Plebiscito surrounded by historic palaces. Other important symbols of Ancona are the Arch of Trajan, the Mole Vanvitelliana fort and the Monument to the Fallen and the colorful cave entrances on Passetto beach.
Ancona is not only monuments, cuisine or a port from where you can cross to Croatia or Greece. It is also beautiful sandy beaches surrounded by white cliffs, known, for example, from the coast of Sardinia. The city and the entire Marche region thus make a great vacation destination, where everyone can find something for themselves.
.There is a small airport in Ancona, which has direct flights to Krakow. Alternatively, you can take a plane to Bologna which offers more cheap flights, and from there take a train to Ancona in about 3 hours. You can also take direct coach connections from our country.
