Located in French Brittany, Rennes is a city with a long history dating back to antiquity. It lies on the Vilaine River and is the capital of the more than 220,000-strong administrative region of Brittany. Rennes is a university city also famous for the production of Citroën and Peugeot automobiles.

You can also get here in just over an hour by TGV train from Paris, or by coach - directly from Poland. Most of the most important sights and attractions are located in the city center. To get around more efficiently and to more remote parts of Rennes, however, it is worth using public transportation. The city has metro, city and metropolitan bus lines, as well as city bikes.
