The Ludwigkirche, a baroque Protestant church located in the old part of the city, is also worth seeing, distinguished inside and out. Despite the city's industrial past, Saarbrücken is home to many parks and gardens, and extensive forests on its outskirts.
.Saarbrücken is very well connected to the rest of the country and abroad. The A1 and A8 highways intersect near the city, while the A6 highway starts here. There is an airport 15 kilometers from the center of Saarbrücken, but it does not serve flights from Poland. The high-speed rail route, the TGV, connecting Paris and Frankfurt, runs through the city.
