SAVONA

Savona is a port city in northwestern Italy and one of the most important cities in Liguria. It is inhabited by about 60,000 residents. What interesting things does Savona offer? The city's attractions are primarily its historic and charming architecture. Walking around it, at every step you can come across a beautiful building, church or palace.

The city's most important temple is the Baroque Cathedral of the Assumption with its 15th-century Sistine Chapel similar to that of the Vatican. Also worth seeing is the Renaissance Gavotti Palace now serving as the Museum of Art. An interesting building in Savona is the 16th century Priamar Fortress, whose interiors now house, among other things, the Archaeological and Municipal Museum. Technology lovers, meanwhile, may be interested in the reportedly best-equipped museum of Apple products. The place is called All About Apple and displays more than a thousand computers, consoles or floppy disk drives of various brands.

How to get to Savona?

The drive to Savona can take about 19 hours by car, so it's a good idea to plan an overnight stay along the way. Some tourists choose to travel by plane. The closest airport to Savona is Genoa, about 55 kilometers away. You can fly there from several Polish cities with up to one change, and then take a train to reach the city in just over an hour. The route runs along the coast, thus providing picturesque views from the windows.

Savona has a train station well connected to cities such as Turin, Genoa and Nice. You can also get here by bus directly from Poland. Our buses stop right in front of the main train station, at Aldo Moro Square. If you are interested in further destinations, know that from the seaport of Savona you can go to Sardinia or Corsica, among others.

Savona is a small Italian city in the Liguria region in the northwest of the country. An important port is located here, making Savona an important trading center. It is also called the "city of popes," as two successors of St. Peter - Sixtus IV and Julius II - came from the local Della Rovere family. Savona is also famous for its soap - in the 15th century it became one of the largest and most important soap-making centers. The French word "savon," meaning soap, is most likely derived from the place name.

ANDRYCHOW

Andrychów is a town of about 20,000 people in Małopolska province on the Wieprzówka River, lying between Wadowice and Kęty. It was founded at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, while it received city rights in 1767. For several centuries now, Andrychów has been famous for its cotton and textile industry, later also for its engineering industry. There is now a subzone of the special economic zone there, managed by the Cracow Technology Park.

Because of its location at the foot of the Beskid Maly mountains and a short distance from Cracow, Bielsko-Biala, Wadowice or Oswiecim, it is a very attractive tourist destination. The town itself is very atmospheric and also has many interesting attractions to offer. It is worth starting your sightseeing with the centrally located market square with the nearby city park and seeing the classicist Bobrowski Palace. A rich treasure trove of knowledge about Andrychów and its surroundings is the Historical and Ethnographic Museum, whose collections include old objects of daily use of the inhabitants, farm machinery or a rich collection related to Andrychów's Jews.

Andrychów is a good place to go with children - due to the multitude of entertainment activities in nearby Inwald, as well as the numerous possibilities for organizing undemanding family trips to the Beskids. Hiking trails in the vicinity of the town are graceful - not too difficult to walk and at the same time providing beautiful views and interesting attractions along the way.

Access - train and bus to Andrychow

Andrychow lies along national road 52 and provincial road 781. There are two train stations and a bus station in the town. Our buses stop at the bus station at 23 Krakowska Street, near the Andrychów Train Station. Bus to Andrychów is an ideal travel option not only if you want to visit the city itself, but also when you are planning a trip to the nearby Beskid Maly.

Andrychów is a town located in southern Poland, in close proximity to such cities as Kęty, Kraków and Oświęcim. It makes a great resort in the Beskid Maly region. Many tourist attractions can be found in the area.
