Tostedt, a picturesque town, is located in northern Germany, more precisely in the state of Lower Saxony. It lies in the district of Harburg, about 35 kilometers south of Hamburg. Surrounded by hilly terrain and extensive wooded areas, Tostedt offers its residents and visitors charming scenery and a peaceful atmosphere.
Tostedt's location makes it well connected to other places in the region. Its proximity to Hamburg, one of Germany's largest cities, is a huge advantage for residents, who can enjoy the rich cultural, entertainment and business offerings of the capital of Lower Saxony. In addition, Tostedt's convenient location near the highway and the national road network makes it easy to travel to other places of interest, such as Bremenhafen and Lüneburg.
.Commuting to Tostedt is relatively easy, both from Hamburg and from other major cities in the region, as well as from neighboring countries. Poles most often choose to travel by car, taking the A1 highway from Hamburg in the direction of Bremen, and then turning onto the A261 in the direction of Buchholz in der Nordheide. The road then passes through Buchholz and ends on the B75 national road toward Tostedt. This is the route taken by our buses to Tostedt available from Sindbad. .Rybnik on the surface appears to be an undersized and unattractive tourist town. However, it should be emphasized that it has a rich history and, consequently, a large number of monuments. This is because it first fell into the hands of the Germans, then the Czechs, and finally was incorporated into Poland. Rybnik was founded as a fishing settlement, and a century later it was transformed into a city. Today, in addition to historical and cultural monuments, Rybnik also has one of the most extensive networks of bicycle paths in Poland.
You can get to or from Rybnik by bus. Buses from Rybnik leave from the PKS station, located at 6 Budowlanych St. From there, it is a stone's throw to the downtown area, the market square or the Basilica. However, Rybnik has much more to offer. For there is a castle within the city, and on the outskirts, a lagoon is available to residents.
Fans of more industrial attractions will certainly be interested in the historic Ignacy Mine. On its grounds, visitors will find a lookout tower, a carpentry shop, two engine houses or steam pairs. The mine itself is one of the oldest in the entire region, so it's worth putting it on your list of things to see.
And when you've had enough of sightseeing, be sure to get on your bike and take a ride on one of the bicycle paths that stretch for another three hundred kilometers within Rybnik.
Rybnik may not be a city where you'll spend your entire vacation, but if you like bicycle tours, be sure to put this location on your must-see list.
