Wrocław, the capital of Lower Silesia, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland, and can often be found on lists of the world's most attractive tourist cities.  In 2011, Wrocław was nominated  for the title of European Capital of Culture, and received the title of European Capital of Culture in 2016.

Fans of monuments, architecture should start their tour of the city from Ostrów Tumski. The most magnificent          are sacral monuments, considered  the most valuable objects of this part of the Old Town. The most magnificent of them is the Archcathedral of St. John the Baptist, the Collegiate Church of the Holy Cross and the Church of St. Bartholomew, the monument of St. John Nepomucen, the Archbishop's Palace, the Noodle Gate. There is also the Archdiocesan Museum - a place of sacred art.

Frequently visited place is the Tumski Bridge, where for example lovers meet. Ostrów is also worth visiting after dusk, when the unique atmosphere of this place is given by gas lanterns still lit by a gas engineer. 

The Market Square in Wrocław is one of the prettiest in Poland, and one of the largest markets in Europe. So you can't miss it when visiting the city.  The market is surrounded by beautiful, restored townhouses, but a lot of attention is focused on the Town Hall.

This is also where you will find Wrocław's dwarves. The City of Dwarves is one of the names under which Wrocław can be found. The first gnome characters began to appear in W Wroclaw in the 1980s. Who would like, you can visit the city on the trail of Wrocław dwarves.

Wrocław can be visited with our children and I assure you, they will not be bored.  They certainly will not go indifferently by the center of knowledge about water - Hydropolis. This is a very interesting presentation about water.

Another interesting place is  Afrykarium in Wroclaw Zoo.  This is the only oceanarium in the world dedicated exclusively to African fauna. In the building of Afrykarium animals were created very natural conditions, corresponding to their natural environment.

After a day of sightseeing, both large and small will be happy to go to the Aquapark, one of the best rated water parks. There are four deep whirlpools and an outdoor saltwater pool for those who want to relax, and a wave pool, outdoor leisure pool, lazy river, and phenomenal slides for the youngest and thrill-seekers.

Let's not forget about the Racławice Panorama, the National Museum, or the possibility to take a ride on the Polinka cable car, whose carriages ride about seven meters above the Odra river.

Aficionados of street art will certainly not go unnoticed by the numerous murals. Murals on the walls of buildings can be seen in Nadodrze,  as well as in  underground passages and  on Plac Społeczny.
