Alexandria (ukr. Олександрія) is a city located in the central part of Ukraine, in the Kirovohrad region. It is an important industrial, cultural and transportation center of the region. History of the city

Alexandria was founded in the 18th century and was initially a small agricultural settlement. In the 19th century, with the development of railroads and industry, the city began to grow rapidly, becoming an important commercial and manufacturing center.
