Freiburg, or Freiburg in Polish, is a city in southwestern Germany near the border with France and Switzerland. It is located in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Its full name is Freiburg im Breisgau - which has to do with its location in the historic Bryzgau region. It is inhabited by more than 230,000 residents. It is a city with a long history, dating back to the Middle Ages.

Above all, the Gothic-Romanesque Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary, located in the very center of the city on Münsterplatz, is worth seeing there. Attention is also drawn to the richly decorated entrance to the temple, and inside the medieval chancel, colorful stained glass windows and numerous sculptures. About 75 kilometers from Freiburg, there is an airport located in France that serves three major cities: Basel, Mulhouse and just Freiburg.
