Hildesheim is a city in northwestern Germany, located in Lower Saxony, about 30 km south of Hanover. It has a rich history, dating back to the Middle Ages, and is known for its numerous monuments and important role in the history of the Catholic Church.
The main tourist attractions in Hildesheim include:
1. Hildesheim Cathedral (Hildesheimer Dom) - one of the city's most important monuments, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The cathedral is known for its unique bronze doors and medieval frescoes. It was destroyed during World War II, but was later rebuilt.
2. St. Michael's Church (Michaeliskirche) - also UNESCO-listed, with beautiful frescoes and a unique Romanesque-style interior.
3. City Hall (Rathaus) - in the center of the city, with picturesque traditional buildings.
4. Hildesheim Castle (Schloss Hildesheim) - a historic castle dating back to the 15th century, which now serves as a museum and cultural center.
The city is also known for its cultural events, such as music and theater festivals.
The fashion for discovering Polish tourist gems took a turn for the worse during the COVID-19 pandemic, when closed borders made us appreciate domestic tourist attractions more. One of the destinations worth seeing is certainly Krosno, not without reason once called Little Krakow. How to get to the city? It can be done by one's own car, if one is so comfortable. Alternatively, there are train and coach connections. One of the companies providing intercity transportation to and from Krosno is Sindbad. Our coaches connect many towns and cities in Poland, allowing you to explore what's yours comfortably, quickly and safely. Our network of international connections is also attractive. Sindbad buses run from Krosno to many cities throughout Europe, including Italy, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Denmark and France. This timetable broadly opens a window to the world for residents of Krosno and the surrounding area. Regular connections at good prices are a tempting alternative to low-cost airlines in name only. Coaches with the Sinbad logo stop at the PKS station, which connects to the PKP station, allowing combined transportation. The stop is near the Old Town, where the main tourist attractions of Krosno are concentrated, as well as the accommodation base and recommended restaurants. All this makes the bus seem to be the most convenient, economical and ecological solution for those wishing to visit Krosno.
