Szpoła (ukr. Шпола)-a town located in Ukraine, in the Cherkasy region, in the central part of the country. It is one of the smaller towns, serving as a local administrative and commercial center.
Szpoła has a long history, dating back to the Middle Ages, although it was not granted city rights until the 19th century. In the past, the city was associated with agriculture and crafts, but in the 20th century it also developed in an industrial direction.
Modern Shpola is a place where elements of Ukrainian tradition and culture have been preserved, as well as numerous architectural monuments related to the history of the region.
