ULM

Ulm is a city on the Danube River in the German state of Baden-Württemberg in the south of the country. It has a long history - the name "Ulma" appears in sources as early as 856, and Ulm has had city rights since 1181. The largest monument here is the Gothic cathedral famous for having the world's tallest tower. From it you can enjoy views of the immediate and somewhat distant surroundings of Ulm. Here you can stroll along narrow, cobblestone streets amid charming little houses. One of them, known as Schiefes Haus, or the late Gothic "crooked house," is deflected from the vertical by about 10° due to the rather sodden ground. Ulm offers a large number of cultural events with the most famous one, the Danube Festival, at the top, many theaters, art galleries and interesting museums such as the Bread and Art Museum. While you're here, be sure to stop by Germany's largest botanical garden, run by the University of Ulm. It covers an area of 28 hectares and showcases vegetation from all of Earth's climatic zones. Friedrichsau Park, with its small lakes and picnic areas, will also be a good place for a stroll in the city.

KONIN

Konin is a city in central Poland located on the Warta River. The Amber Route once ran here, providing Konin with thriving economic and cultural development. Today, Konin is located on the Piast Route, a tourist route that passes through places of importance to Polish heritage in the Wielkopolska and Kujawsko-Pomorskie provinces.

Attractions of Konin

The biggest attraction in the city is a Romanesque road pillar from 1151, which once marked half of the road between Kalisz and Kruszwica. Right next door is the St. Bartholomew's parish church from the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries, with stunning and colorful interiors, historic chapels and tombstones. Also noteworthy are a synagogue and a market square with historic townhouses. While in Konin, it is also worth seeing the Gothic church of St. Andrew the Apostle from the early 15th century located in Gosławice, the current district of the city. There you can admire, among other things, a valuable collection of 26 coat-of-arms shields or an octagonal stone baptismal font from the early 16th century.

For recreation, it is worth taking a stroll along the Warta River Boulevard or to Frederic Chopin Park, established in the 19th century, where, in addition to walking paths, a mini zoo, an open-air gym and numerous attractions for children await visitors. In the summer, however, it is especially worthwhile to take a break at the beautiful Lake Goslawskie.

Transport - Konin

Konin is a road junction where the A2 highway connects with national roads 25 and 72. Other national and provincial roads also run through there. There are two railroad stations in the city, as well as the Konin bus station. Our main stop is located in a convenient place for transfers, near the main railroad station in the city.
