Verkhovina is a village located in Ukraine, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, in the western part of the country, in the Carpathian Mountains region. Verkhovina is one of the more well-known centers in this part of Ukraine, especially among tourists who visit the Carpathian Mountains. The village is also considered a "gateway" to the mountainous regions of the Ukrainian Carpathians, so it is a popular base for hiking in the mountains.
Verkhovina is located in the valley of the Cheremosh River, which flows through the Carpathians, and is surrounded by picturesque mountain landscapes, making it a very attractive place for nature lovers and mountain hikers.
Verkhovina also has a rich cultural heritage, especially related to folk traditions and folklore of the Carpathians. In the village you can encounter architecture characteristic of the region, as well as learn about the traditions and customs of the Hutsuls, the indigenous inhabitants of these mountains.
The village is also known for its beautiful religious monuments and museums that present the history of the region, including human life in the mountains. It is also a cultural center, hosting a variety of folklore festivals and events.
Our coaches travel to many European cities. We also carry people to Ukraine. One of the cities from which you can reach Ukraine, for example, is Goleniow, a small city of over 22,000 people located in the western part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. Goleniow lies thirty-five kilometers northeast of Szczecin. The town may not be as attractive to tourists as the province's capital, but that doesn't mean there's nothing to do there.
Goleniow historically became famous as one of the trade hubs, especially on the waterway. Thanks to its role, it gained city rights and later even joined the Hanseatic League. Today, it may no longer be as important economically, while tourist-wise it has something to say. It's worth a visit if only for the remnants of medieval buildings.
The nearby primeval forest, stretching over six hundred square kilometers, is also noteworthy. Wildlife can be found in the surrounding pine forests. Wild boar and roe deer are found there. Elk and wolves also occur. However, given the marshy terrain, it's a good idea to be careful where you step.
You can reach Goleniow by train or bus. The bus station in Goleniow is located right next to the train station. Our coaches from Goleniow travel mainly to cities in Ukraine. You can find the whole list of connections on the city's website.
If you live in Goleniow and want to go by PKS to one of the European cities, check our connections and book a ticket.
