A significant role was played here until the 1970s by the textile industry, but today this is a thing of the past, the city is modern and vibrant.

Brzesko - a land flowing with golden liquor. The heyday of the city falls on the second half of the nineteenth century, when Jan Albina Goetze, a German, arrived in Brzesko, later to become the founder of Okocim Brewery, which soon became the largest producer of this golden beverage in Poland.
