Oslo - what to see in the city

.

Many tourists' first steps, due to its proximity to the port and the city's main stations, are towards the Opera House with its curved white facade as if emerging from the water. Its rooftop is a great place for a walk and a souvenir photo of Oslo. At least one of the museums is also worth a visit, such as the Oslo National Museum with its most famous exhibit - Edward Munch's "The Scream," Frammuseet, which is a museum of Norwegian polar discoveries and expeditions, or one of Europe's largest open-air museums - the Norwegian Folk Museum.

.

Above the city center rises the Royal Palace, the official seat of the Norwegian monarchy. Every day at 1:30 pm, a changing of the guard takes place in front of the palace's main entrance. In addition, the medieval Akershus Fortress, once successfully defending enemies' access to the city, is worth a visit. A little further from the center, you can see the famous Holmenkollen ski jump with its Ski Museum.
