Alytus is a charming city located in southern Lithuania, on the Neman River. It is the capital of the district of the same name and one of the most important administrative, cultural and industrial centers of the region.
The history of Alytus dates back to the 15th century, when the settlement was first mentioned. In later centuries the city was an important trading and military point. Today Alytus is known for its green spaces, developed industry and friendly atmosphere.
One of the city's symbols is the White Bridge, a beautiful structure over the Nemunas River that offers picturesque views. Alytus also has numerous parks, bicycle trails and recreational areas, making it often referred to as a "green city".
Economically, Alytus is developing mainly in the industrial sector, especially in the food, chemical and timber industries. It is also an important educational and cultural center, hosting various festivals and artistic events.
With its combination of rich history, nature and modern infrastructure, Alytus is an interesting place both to live and to visit when traveling in Lithuania.
Suwałki is located in northeastern Poland, right on the border with Lithuania. The city is considered to be one of the coldest places in Poland. Although low temperatures do not discourage local residents, they willingly leave their hometowns in search of better employment, educational opportunities or simply adventure. People setting off to a distant world have at their disposal Sindbad coaches. Our fleet connects Polish towns with foreign cities.
