.Ilawa is a beautifully located city in the Warmian-Masurian province. It is located on one of the largest lakes in Poland - Jeziorak Lake, surrounded by the Iława Lake District Landscape Park. The oldest building in the city is the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, dating back to the early 14th century. Years ago, inextricably linked to it were the city walls, which are only fragmentarily preserved to this day. Also worth seeing is the Church of St. John the Theologian located in the more than a century-old building of the city gasworks. Its interiors and exterior facade delight with colorful icons. An interesting monument is the neo-Gothic Ilawa Town Hall and the Baroque sculptures located on Niepodległości Street. They depict Roman deities: Juno, Hercules, Jupiter and Medusa.
