The city hosted the famous Star Festival until 2006, when the ceremony was moved to Gdansk. However, after a break of several years, new handprints are again appearing in Miedzyzdroje.

The small town of 50,000 located in southeastern Norway is a true historical gem. It was founded as Borg in 1016 by Viking King Olav Haraldsson and has been transformed over the years to reach a population of 50,000 in 2005.
